Walk and Read with the Lansdowne Holiday Story Walk

Lansdowne, Pa., December 8, 2020 –The Lansdowne Business & Professional Association (LBPA) and Lansdowne Public Library invite the community to the Lansdowne Story Walk 2020.

Through January 4, 2021, participants can follow the story of Percy, the kind park keeper, in One Snowy Night by Nick Butterworth. The story is posted in windows of participating businesses throughout the central business district of Lansdowne. Readers can play a word hunt along the way by finding and filling in the hidden highlighted words on each Story Walk page on the number location to complete the sentence. Finished word hunt sheets returned to the Lansdowne Public Library Book Drop by January 4th will be entered into a prize drawing for a $25 Visa gift card sponsored by the LBPA.

Word hunt sheets are available from the library or you can go to the library’s website to print one from home.

Maria McLaughlin, Head of Children's Services at the Lansdowne Library, said, “Since the public cannot currently enter the library we wanted to bring a piece of the library to them. Please check our website for more updates and community event news.”

LBPA President Tiara Orange-Austin said, "We were thrilled to partner with the library on this project. It's a collaboration that works for everyone: the businesses, the library and the community. And, it can be enjoyed in a socially-distanced way!"
